How to begin.
There is no single right way to make contact. Many people start with a phone call. Some start with an email. We're glad of either.
Before anyone moves in, we review their care needs assessment and then meet them properly. We will often arrange something informal first — a coffee, a look around, a chance to meet the people already living here. Moving into a home with six other people is a significant thing, and it works best when nobody arrives as a stranger.
Is Rosemary Cottage
right for you?
Rosemary Cottage is a residential home for adults recovering from the long-term effects of drug or alcohol abuse and mental health challenges — including Wernicke–Korsakoff’s syndrome.
The home offers medium and long-term care in a stable, abstinence-based environment. It is not a detox unit and is not suited to people who are still actively using drugs or alcohol; we are glad to talk through alternative routes if that is the situation, and to help signpost where we can.
How care is funded. Most placements at Rosemary Cottage are funded through Jersey’s Long-Term Care benefit. If you are unsure what you would be liable for, we can talk it through and point you to the right people.
If you are unsure whether Rosemary Cottage is the right fit, please get in touch — a short conversation usually makes things clear, and there is no obligation either way.
