People who care.
Recovery happens between people. The team at Rosemary Cottage is small on purpose — so that the people in our care know us, and we know them.

Noel Leonard
Noel has an extensive background working in community and hospital based drug and alcohol support, gained working in Bath & North East Somerset Community Services. He has also gained experience delivering accredited CBT rehabilitation programmes with HM Prison Service. He brings these experiences together to support the residents at Rosemary Cottage.

Kelly Tyler
Kelly has gained a wealth of experience in management and communication from working within banking, trust & relocation services. She has 15 years experience working within the adult social care sector, including 5 years at Rosemary Cottage.
Small, and
always here.
The people who own this home are the people who run it, and they are supported by a wider team of support workers who cover the house 24 hours a day. There is always someone on shift, through the night and at the edges of the day, with the Registered Manager or Deputy Manager on call outside office hours.
Every member of our support staff holds a recognised care qualification. At our most recent inspection, the Jersey Care Commission recorded full compliance with mandatory training and identified training as an area of good practice at the home. Beyond the mandatory requirements, our staff train in mental health, substance and alcohol misuse, behaviour management, stress and conflict management, seizures, dementia and learning disabilities. Every member of staff has quarterly supervision and an annual appraisal.
Our team stays. At the last inspection, the average length of employment across our staff was five and a quarter years — in a sector where turnover is the norm. Consistency of relationship is not a nice-to-have in this work. It is the work.
We also host student placements from a local college, giving people entering the profession real experience of supporting recovery, mental health and relapse prevention.
